Whether it's clutter too good to throw out, leftover treasures from last year's big projects or the desire to free up rooms not meant to double as closets, garage and yard sales always have been a popular means to try to turn one's trash into someone else's treasure.
We like to have garage sales because we can get rid of all this junk around the house and, hopefully, make some money," said Charlie Morgan, who on Friday morning pulled out boxes to set up for his three-day garage sale in Noble. "The part I hate is finding a place to put all the stuff that didn't sell."
