Setting aside the horribly obvious things in the article (advertise your sale? really?) sending people to Ebay to "check out what it's worth" is downright stupid. Yardsales are about clearing out the old and making room, not turing it into a business. The millions of people who use Ebay are not going to be coming to your yardsale. Whenever someone at a yard sale tells me "They go for $xx on Ebay" I ask them why they aren't selling it there instead of their front yard. Ebay just causes people to get an over inflated sense of worth for their items, and they end up keeping things they shouldn't because they are sure they have gold.
